Story revised after reading Doug's comment :)

The first snow of the season brings the magic of the elves, and this forest has been known to harbor such creatures. I wonder the trails peeking between the branches and I spy these little wooden structures at the base of the tree. Could it be the village of the Keebler elves that is visible by the first snows?
I inch closer to see little wooden homes and a moored ship. Are they unloading cookie supplies?
I keep the location of the sighting a secret and each time I walked by the area, I looked to see if the elves are around. The snow eventually melts and the village that was briefly seen disappears with the snow. I will have to wait until the next magical first snow which brings back the village, but it will not be in the same spot.
I never did see the elves, however, ever so faintly, I thought I heard laughter once.
